As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide courteous service, communicate clearly with residents, visitors, and staff, and document security-related activity using computer or tablet tools. Join Allied Universal, where agile, reliable, innovative teams put people first and act with integrity.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $18.00 / HourJob Schedule:Day TimeMon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.Monitor access to the shelter location, greet and direct visitors, and report unauthorized activity or policy concerns to appropriate site contacts.Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.Minimum Requirements:At least one year of security-related experience is required.A guard card or license is preferred.A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.Access control or badge experience is preferred.Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
