Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver License in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of mall common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report potential security-related concerns according to site procedures.
Assist with directing visitors, providing information, and supporting a welcoming environment while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
