You will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring activity, controlling access, and supporting daily healthcare operations with professionalism and compassion.What's in it for you:Site Location: Bridgeport, ConnecticutSet Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Tuesday - Saturday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PMCompetitive hourly wage of $22.00/hourA comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, disability coverage, and life insurance options.Career growth opportunities at GardaWorldUniform provided at no costResponsibilitiesMaintain a visible security presence throughout healthcare administrative buildings and campus grounds.Control access to facilities by verifying identification, credentials, and visitor authorization.Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and restricted locations to ensure compliance with facility policies.Conduct routine patrols to identify safety hazards, security concerns, or unusual activity.Respond to emergencies, disturbances, medical incidents, and security-related situations in accordance with established procedures.Assist employees, patients, visitors, contractors, and vendors with directions, information, and security-related concerns.Monitor CCTV systems, alarm panels, access control systems, and other security technologies.Investigate and document incidents, accidents, policy violations, and suspicious activity.Coordinate with healthcare leadership, local law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel when necessary.Complete accurate incident reports, shift logs, and daily activity reports.Ensure compliance with all facility, state, and company security regulations and procedures.Promote a safe, professional, and customer-focused environment at all times.QualificationsBe authorized to work in the U.S.Be at least 21 years of age or older.Be able to provide documentation of a High School Diploma or GED.Possess a valid Connecticut Security Officer Identification Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to obtain one.Previous security, healthcare security, customer service, healthcare administration, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to interact professionally with patients, visitors, healthcare staff, and the public.Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or stressful situations.Basic computer proficiency for report writing, incident documentation, and data entry.First Aid, CPR, or Emergency Response certification is an asset.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Ability to pass all required background checks and screening requirements.Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process.Why GardaWorld?In the United States, GardaWorld Security remains the only guarding security company to be Certified by Great Place to Work.
