As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to routine situations with care and integrity. Join Allied Universal, where teamwork, reliability, and innovation put people first.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $16.00 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and traffic flow while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence.Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and/or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.Minimum Requirements:Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.CPR certification is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
