As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Join Allied Universal's agile, reliable team, where a caring culture puts people first.Why work for us?Full Time, Excellent Benefits, Career ProgressionEmployee Referral / Retention Bonus ProgramDaily and Weekly pay - You pick when you get paid!Pay Rate: $20.00 / HourSchedules:Part Time: Monday and Thursday 1700 - 2100Flex: Assigned one shift a week minimum Ability to pick up more shifts on a weekly basis based around your schedule!Responsibilities:Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document detailed observations of unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsAssist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)Transport patients to the morgue, as neededAssist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency roomAssist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disastersSound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized personsWarn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articlesPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized individuals enter and exit the hospital, and that no contraband or hospital items are brought in or outObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirementsInvestigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as requiredQualifications (Must Have):1 year of security experience preferred, but not requiredA valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Healthcare/Hospital experience preferred, but not requiredCustomer service experience is preferred.Must have a verifiable high school diploma or GED, as well as 3 years of verifiable work history (recent)Must be comfortable with transporting deceased patients to the morgue, restraining combative patients, and receiving vaccines (MMR, Varicella, Tdap)As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat ZoneGraduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter fieldBachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studiesA minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branchAssociate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military serviceBenefits:Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positionsSchedules that fit with your personal life goalsOngoing paid training programs and career growth opportunitiesEmployee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues and much more…ClosingAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
