We offer patients convenient access to innovative treatments and advancements that improve the health and overall well-being of our community.ResponsibilitiesAbides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies and performs these responsibilities in an ethical mannerCommunicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients and familiesResponds to overhead pages; completes and maintains accurate records as requiredInvestigates and prepares legible written reports of incidents and accidentsReports must be concise and within the standards of the University, Hospital and Security DepartmentInspects doors and lights as requiredResponds quickly to fires and other emergency situationsRequires minimal supervision, performs preventative patrols of the hospital and grounds, assists the Police Department as required on the property, completes all required training for Department and hospital requirements, accepts and completes all duties positively and without conflictCooperates, helps others and improves the performance of the unitCompletes all mandatory unit, educational and hospital requirementsUtilizes cost effective practices in performing all aspects of the jobPerforms security desk duties while monitoring security video systems equipment and magnetometersPatrols premises on foot and by cart to protect persons and propertyOccasionally works in inclement weather exposing employee to elementsCompletes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirementsAdheres to current Infection Control and Safety StandardsRegular and prompt attendanceAbility to work schedule as defined and overtime as requiredRelated duties as assignedAdditional InformationEmployees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.QualificationsHigh School or equivalent and 1 year of security or related experience.
