Security OfficerResponsible for ensuring the safety and protection of the guests, employees and hotel/casino property.How You Will Create the ExtraordinaryProvide security and protection for guests and propertyPresent & maintain a positive, professional appearance at all timesKnowledge & information regarding Casino promotions and downtown eventsProactive and positive interaction with Guests and EmployeesOfficers will stand a majority of the time to better observe activities in the areaTransact monetary exchanges in compliance Regulations as requiredOperate the Security Information Booth as requiredMaintain surveillance of the Casino Cage and surrounding areaReplace boxes on gaming tables after the count has been completedUse of computer skills and security reporting systemPrepare detailed reports on incidents that occur on and off propertyAdminister first aid and assist injured guests and employeesReact promptly to disturbances at any location as requiredObserve and react to individuals suspected of illegal activitiesConduct regular foot patrols throughout the propertyOther job related duties as assignedExemplifies our core values, family style service, our mission and visionExemplifies our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culturePerform other job related duties as assignedWhat You Will NeedMust possess basic computer skillsUnderstand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and proceduresSkill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guestsAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationAbility to diffuse confrontational situations in a calm and professional mannerAbility to read, write, and communicate verbally in EnglishKnowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environmentEducation: High School diploma or equivalent.Experience: Prior Hotel Casino/Security experience preferred. Excellent guest relation skills.Certificate/License: Nevada State Gaming Work Card, Valid Nevada Driver's License, Alcohol Awareness Card (AES) required. Possess or be able to qualify in the certification of CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator)ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSWork is performed in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or brightly illuminatedMay require working at a level of 4 ft. above floor level, in confined areas, around moving objects, in high places and on slippery surfacesMay come into contact with vibrations, solvents/oils, fumes/odors and dirt/dustRequires use of electrical devices, mechanical devices and computer equipmentConstant verbal and frequent physical contact with staff and guestsRegular, predictable attendance and the ability to work flexible hoursPosition requires Team Member to enter & exit from the Team Member entrance which entails 4 flights of stairs (40 stairs)Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching from floor level to 12 ft. high, climbing ladders and stairs, lifting, transporting, pushing, pulling and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 100 lbs., eye hand coordination and manual dexterity; use of hand and power toolsRequires normal sense of smell, touch and sound, normal vision range; the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbolsRequires communicating by telephone, beeper and radio in EnglishGUEST SERVICE (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL) STANDARDS: Employee is required to meet and deliver our core values, service standards, and family style service.PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills.
