Security OfficerThe Security Officer monitors all casino areas to ensure safety and security.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSafeguards assets of the company.Provides for the protection of guests, employees, and property.Patrols assigned areas and assists guests and team members as needed.Examines doors, windows, gates, etc, to ensure they are secureMay occasionally perform other safety incidental duties, only when guest safety is an issueCompletes the inspection procedures for used cards and dice, if authorized.Completes the canceling or destroying procedures for cards and dice, if authorized.Other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervisor or managementSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneQUALIFICATIONSOutstanding interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize work demandsHigh level of discretion and confidentialityMust be detail orientedMust have at least some security experienceEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED6 months' security, law enforcement, or military experience preferredCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMissouri Gaming Level II Gaming License required.LANGUAGE SKILLSMust be able to effectively communicate in English both verbal and written.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.COMPUTER SKILLSBasicREASONING ABILITYPlanning, Remembering Details, Using Arithmetic, Reading, Directing Others, Making Decisions, Working Rapidly, Working at Various Tempos, Concentrating Amid Distractions, Remembering Names & Faces, Examining & Observing DetailsPHYSICAL DEMANDSStanding, Walking, Reaching, Kneeling, Carrying, Pulling, Hearing, Sitting, Bending/Stooping, Observing, Stretching, Pushing, Turning, BalancingWORK ENVIRONMENTInside, Noisy, Secondary Smoke and Bright LightsThe above job analysis is for the sole purpose of complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act and is not to be construed to include all employees employed in each job classification.
