Job description

Security Officer PositionThe Millennia Commercial Group is looking for experienced Security Officers to join our team at the iconic Key Center in Downtown Cleveland. This role is vital to the support of our residents, guest, and property as we strive to provide the highest quality of service to this Critical Infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Tenant ExperienceProvide white-glove customer service to tenants, guests, vendors, and executive clienteleServe as the first point of contact for lobby inquiries and visitor assistanceAlways maintain a professional appearance and demeanorDe-escalate conflicts with tact, diplomacy, and customer serviceSupport building events and VIP visits with discretion and professionalismAccess Control & Security TechnologyOperate and monitor electronic access control systemsIssue, activate, deactivate, and troubleshoot access credentialsMonitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond appropriatelyUtilize visitor management platforms for registration and badge printingReporting & CommunicationGenerate detailed, accurate, and professional incident reportsCommunicate effectively via email/reports/radio/phone with tenants, property management, and leadershipDocument security events, maintenance issues, and policy violations clearly and objectivelyMaintain shift logs and digital records in accordance with company standardsPolicy Enforcement & Risk MitigationRespectfully and consistently enforce all building policies and proceduresConduct interior and exterior patrols of the propertyIdentify and report safety hazards or suspicious activityRespond to emergencies in accordance with established protocolsCoordinate with local emergency services when requiredPerform other duties as assigned by managementWork Conditions & Physical DemandsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsConduct routine patrols throughout multi-level commercial property and surrounding campusAbility to respond quickly to incidents when necessaryWork is performed indoors and outdoors in a residential setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipmentAble to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projectsStrong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to work alongside various levels of the organizationWork assigned overtime as needed to meet the service levels of the facility up to an additional four (4) for a maximum of a twelve (12) hour shift– Management will provide as much advanced notice as possibleReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentAt least (1) years of security, military, safety or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment working for an in-house, contracted security company, and/or guest services positionThe ability to obtain or have already successfully completed AED/CPR/First Aid CertificationExperience in Class A commercial, corporate, or high-end property security preferredStrong customer service background (hospitality or corporate environment a plus)Proficiency with Access control platforms, CCTV system, Microsoft Suite, Mobile Security and Reporting applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong situational awareness and decision-making abilityProfessional appearance and demeanorValues We SeekRespect: Respect is shown by demonstrating a sense of self-awareness and reflecting on one's own words and actions to adapt, grow, and succeed.
