Security Officer Medical Facility Access ControlAs a Security Officer Medical Facility Access Control in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare-related medical examiner location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Join Allied Universal's agile, reliable team, where a caring culture, innovation, and teamwork put people first.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $18.87 / HourJob Schedule:Day TimeTue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSat 09:00 AM - 05:00 PMSun 09:00 AM - 05:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or authorized representatives at a healthcare-related medical examination location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.Monitor access points and check credentials in accordance with established site procedures, documenting visitor activity and directing individuals to appropriate areas.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, exterior areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or conditions requiring attention.Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.Minimum Requirements:Possess a New York State Security Guard License.Have at least one year of security-related experience.Preferred: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.Preferred: Comfortable using a computer or tablet.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Licensed by the New York State Department of StateAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
