As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare-related medical examiner setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. Join Allied Universal, where agile, reliable, innovative teams put people first and act with integrity.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $18.87 / HourJob Schedule:DayTime Fri 01:00 PM - 07:00 PMSat 01:00 PM - 07:00 PMSun 01:00 PM - 07:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a medical examiner office by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, vendors, and authorized transport personnel in accordance with established procedures.Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while protecting confidential information and respecting the sensitive nature of the location.Minimum Requirements:Have at least one year of security-related experience.A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.Loss prevention experience is preferred.Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Licensed by the New York State Department of State
