As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate professionally, and help address security-related concerns. Join Allied Universal, where teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first culture drive our service.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $15.24 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Monitor access points for a high-volume logistics and distribution location, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access irregularities according to site procedures.Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control observations accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.Minimum Requirements:Access control and badge experience is preferred.Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
