As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a controlled environment for staff and visitors. Join Allied Universal, where our agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture delivers through teamwork and integrity.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $21.50 / HourJob Schedule:DayTime Wed 05:30 AM - 05:30 PM Sat 05:30 PM - 05:30 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to staff, visitors, inmates, and authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeter zones, access points, parking areas, and other designated locations.Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, observe activity, and report unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with corrections personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.Minimum Requirements:Possess a valid armed guard card or license.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Possess at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
