As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour
Job Schedule:
Day Time Fri 07:30 AM - 06:00 PM Sat 07:30 AM - 05:00 PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at government transportation facilities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or irregular conditions.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity according to site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request appropriate assistance and document actions taken.
Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs, and communicate relevant information to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and responding public service personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
