As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while helping to deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Join a caring, agile team that delivers with integrity.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $17.00 / HourJob Schedule:DayTime Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, processing visitor and driver arrivals, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.Monitor access points, loading areas, and delivery activity to help deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or disruption of operations.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and loading docks; report security-related concerns, hazards, and unusual activity.Minimum Requirements:A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.Alarm panel experience is preferred.Loss prevention experience is preferred.Access control and badge experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
