As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that puts people first, acts with integrity, and delivers through teamwork.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $18.87 / HourJob Schedule:Day Time Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals seeking services by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as directed by site procedures.Monitor access points and visitor activity, maintain awareness of authorized entry requirements, and report access-control concerns to site management.Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.Minimum Requirements:Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
