As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will help create a welcoming, secure environment for staff and visitors while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $18.87 / HourJob Schedule:Day TimeTue 08:00 AM - 04:00 PMWed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PMFri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a government social services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized persons or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when required.Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.Minimum Requirements:Possess a New York State Security Guard License.Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Licensed by the New York State Department of StateAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
