We also took 2nd place for Best Place to Work, making this the perfect time to join our growing team!Position/Titles:Security Officer - for Transitional Housing FacilityJob Description:As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc. Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for conducting hourly tours, ensuring the premises is secure. Access control when checking in and out guests to property, and checking all entrances and exits.Shifts:Friday - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM Saturday - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM (16 Hrs Per Week) + Opportunity for Additional Shifts!Compensation:$ 21.00 per hourSecurity Guard Responsibilities:Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.Security Guard Qualifications:Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).Current with BSIS Compliance i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate 32-hour continuing education certificatesExperience working graveyard shifts.Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.Why Join Armorous?Award-Winning Company – Voted Best Security Company in the North Bay in 2025!
