As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support residents and staff with professional customer service, and communicate observations clearly. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a caring culture that puts people first, delivers through teamwork, and acts with integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $17.00 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 04:00 AMTue08:00 AM - 12:00 PMWed08:00 AM - 12:00 PMSun12:00 AM - 04:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a shelter location.Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter.Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and report unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site personnel.Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.Minimum Requirements:A New York State Security Guard License is required.CPR certification is preferred.CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Licensed by the New York State Department of StateAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
