We are passionately committed to providing exceptional, local care to our friends, families, neighbors, and communities at large.Mission: To work together to serve the needs of our patients and community.Vision: A community where all can achieve optimal health.Values: Kindness, Collaboration, Patient & Family-Centered, Safety, Excellence, Efficiency, and Professionalism.What You'll Do:Frequently conduct security/safety rounds of the hospital each shift and document the findings of each roundMay need to assist in the management of aggressive/combative patients and/or family membersMonitor high risk patients, including patient watches if necessaryUtilize security cameras to monitor activity in the hospital and as part of completing incident investigationsProvide support to the nursing staff in interacting with the Medical Examiner's office, funeral homes, and affected families in the event of an expired patientComplete appropriate documentation to record all incidents and conduct investigations when warranted. Incident reports and investigations should be provided to the Safety CoordinatorComplete MOAB training annuallyServe as the point of contact with the police department when the intervention is requiredPartner with nursing supervisors to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and facilitiesProvide best practice and process improvement recommendations to the Safety CoordinatorSecure the area for all emergency helicopter arrivals and take-offsWhat We're Looking For:Required:High School diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2-4 years' experience in hospital security, law enforcement, the department of corrections or in the militaryValid New Hampshire Driver's LicenseProven conflict resolution skills and/or demonstrated ability to be effective in high stress or emergent situationsCommitment to providing excellent customer serviceAbility to work as part of a teamExcellent interpersonal skills, empathetic and trustworthyExceptional organizational skills and high attention to detailProven computer skills including MS OfficeWhy Join Speare Memorial Hospital?Community Connection: Be part of an organization deeply invested in local health and wellness.Collaborative Culture: Work alongside dedicated professionals who genuinely care about their work and each other.Professional Growth: Opportunities for continuing education and career development.Our CommitmentSpeare Memorial Hospital is an equal opportunity employer.
