As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Join Allied Universal, where our agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture puts people first through teamwork and integrity.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $19.09 / HourJob Schedule:Day TimeMon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PMTue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PMWed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PMThur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PMFri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to transit riders, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate transit personnel and emergency responders as directed.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, surrounding areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.Monitor access points and observe passenger flow and facility activity, helping to maintain an orderly environment in accordance with posted rules and site requirements.Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and authorized personnel.Minimum Requirements:Possess a New York State Security Guard License.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
