Job TitleThe primary responsibility of this position is to supervise student behavior in hallways, cafeterias, parking lots, and other areas inside and outside the assigned school site to help maintain a safe, secure, and positive learning environment.Required Qualifications:High School DiplomaFirst Aid and CPR trainingKnowledge of behavioral management and techniques used in a school settingExperience in a school setting or working with youthEssential Duties:Monitor student behavior in hallways and other common spacesMonitor visitors in the buildingBuild positive relationships with students and provide proactive behavior supportProblem solve low-level behavior issues with the goal of keeping students in their learning environmentIntervene in student altercations, insubordination, and harassment situations and refer students for appropriate actionRemove unauthorized individuals from the school building and/or school groundsWork cooperatively with police liaison officers and school administration regarding school safety and security concernsMaintain regular communication with building leadership regarding student issues and behavior concernsProvide support in situations requiring physical holds or restraintsEnforce traffic safety proceduresMonitor student safety in parking lots and outdoor areasAssist with traffic flow during bus loading and unloadingIssue tickets and initiate towing procedures for parking violationsMonitor traffic violations and make referrals to law enforcement when necessaryEnforce School District and building policiesPhysical Factors:Ability to withstand cold temperatures, snow, rain, and adverse weather conditionsFrequent: walking, standing, bending, sitting, hearing, talking, and seeingOccasional: lifting and physical restraintsBenefits:We offer a comprehensive benefits package for employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week*.
