Job description
Security Officer at Town and Country ResortAs a Security Officer at Town and Country Resort, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, team members, and property. With 671 guest rooms and 295,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, we rely on professional, alert, and courteous security officers to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are highly observant, possess strong interpersonal skills, and are quick to act in emergencies. For full-time team members, we also offer comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision plans and employer-paid life insurance for added peace of mind.ResponsibilitiesPatrol resort grounds, public areas, meeting space, and back-of-house areas to ensure safety and securityRespond to and report all incidents including accidents, medical situations, suspicious behavior, or property damageMonitor surveillance cameras, fire control panels, and security systemsEnforce resort rules and regulations in a calm and professional mannerAssist in emergency situations (evacuations, fire alarms, guest injuries) with a proactive and composed approachMaintain accurate and detailed incident reports and security logsWork closely with front office, engineering, and banquet teams during high-traffic eventsEscort guests and employees as needed to ensure safetySupport lost and found procedures and guest service needs related to securityAssist with crowd control during large conventions, weddings, and eventsUphold confidentiality and privacy of guest and company informationQualificationsValid Guard Card requiredCPR/First Aid certification preferredPrior experience in hotel/resort security or law enforcement is a plusStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProfessional appearance and demeanor required at all timesAbility to remain calm under pressure and manage conflict with tact and professionalismAvailability to work weekends, holidays, and special eventsPhysical Requirements:Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift (up to 8+ hours)Must be able to climb stairs, walk throughout the 39-acre property, and respond quickly to emergenciesOccasionally lift or move up to 50 lbsMust be able to operate radios, phones, and computers
