Security Officer – Evening ShiftNow hiring: Evening security officer for St. Louis' premier luxury senior living community.The Gatesworth is a locally owned, award-winning independent senior living community in St. Louis — named a U.S. News & World Report Best Independent Living Community five years running (2022–2026), and a recipient of the STL Headliner Award. We set the standard for luxury senior living in this city, and that standard extends to how we approach safety and security.We're looking for a professional, personable security officer to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and guests. This is a resident-facing role as much as a security role — you'll be the calm, capable presence our community counts on each evening, conducting rounds, monitoring access and alarm systems, and responding to situations with professionalism and care.If you have security experience and genuine comfort working with seniors in a high-end residential setting, we'd love to connect.Shift details:Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Mon & Fri off)Part-time | 25 hours per week totalWeekend and holiday availability requiredBenefits & perks:Daily pay option401(K)Discounted mealsEmployee referral program $$$Wellness programs and employee appreciation eventsFree parkingSecurity officer responsibilities:Conduct regular security patrols to ensure resident safety and property protectionMonitor access control systems, security cameras, and alarm panelsGreet residents and screen visitors at reception and security desksRespond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and calls for assistanceManage deliveries, packages, and restricted-area access per procedureMaintain a professional, approachable, resident-focused presence throughout each shiftQualifications:Valid St. Louis County security license required (or ability to obtain before start date)Minimum 2 years security experience + 2 years customer service experienceWorking knowledge of surveillance systems, access control, and emergency response proceduresStrong communication skills, reliable transportation, professional demeanorExperience in a residential or senior living environment a strong plusThis role requires standing and walking for extended periodsWeekend and holiday availability requiredOur residents and staff count on a safe, secure environment every single day.
