Security OfficerThe Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and team members throughout the casino property. This role protects company assets, enforces policies and gaming regulations, responds to incidents, and provides exceptional guest service while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.How You Will Create the ExtraordinaryResponsible for maintaining security protection on property, including money transactions, customer service, and performing command center/dispatch functionsCheck ID's and ensure all guests are at least 21 years of age to enter the casinoObserve and report disruptive or intoxicated peopleRespond to security concerns in a prompt and efficient mannerProvide medical attention in emergency situations to guestsProvides assistance and service to guests and Team MembersAbility to effectively communicate over dispatch radioSecurity Officers will routinely patrol assigned areas while providing guest assistance, being alert for suspicious circumstances or individuals, gaming violations, possible theft, safety hazards or related concerns, medical emergencies, or damage to propertiesThe Security Officer must know where all emergency equipment exists (phones, fire extinguishers, emergency exit's, etc.)Reporting warranted security intervention immediately to Security DispatchMust be prepared to respond and assist fellow Officer's at any time.Maintain an upbeat and positive demeanor in all interactions as well as maintaining composure in handling difficult interactionsComply with company regulations, policies, and proceduresAct as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the samePerforms all other related and compatible duties as assignedWhat You Will NeedMust be 19 years of age or olderMust be able to speak, read, and write the English languageMust be able to obtain and retain a Nebraska Gaming LicenseHS Diploma or GED requiredMust have strong communication skillsGood oral and written communication skills including tact when dealing with difficult customersMust present a well-groomed appearanceMust possess a valid Driver's License with fewer than three moving violations (and no major violations such as DUI) in the past 36 monthsAbility to maintain extremely confidential informationGeneral familiarity with investigative proceduresAbility to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendorsAbility to compose clear, accurate, and concise reportsMust be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cuesFlexible to work various shifts to include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidaysAdditional RequirementsAbility to push and pull up to 50 poundsAbility to be CPR CertifiedAbility to lift and carry objects up to 30 poundsAble to run to respond to emergencies including up and down stairsAbility to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitivelyMust be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended periodMust have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipmentAbility to simultaneously manage several projectsMust be able to work in an environment subject to variable temperatures, bright flashing lights, and loud noiseJob InfoJob Identification 89553Job Category Security and SurveillanceJob Schedule Full timeLocations Harrah's Nebraska (On-site)
