Job description
Security OfficerSupports safety and security operations through patrols, monitoring, access control, and customer assistance, adapting to site-specific requirements and client expectations. Compensation: $18.27/hr PT. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off & paid holidays, 401k plan & free retirement planning consulting, short-term & long-term disability income protection benefits, life insurance for teammate and family, employee assistance program, recognition & reward program, perks discount programs, wellness program, and pet insurance.Responsibilities include maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors, serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property, and providing supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications include a pre-employment background check and drug screen, completed high school diploma or GED, ability to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications, strong vision abilities, ability to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person, valid driver's license, and ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable. Desired qualifications include previous work experience with the public in a service setting. Taser qualifications include meeting qualification standards, obtaining and maintaining any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a Taser, participating in and passing additional Taser training, and demonstrating a working knowledge of Tarian's Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), Tarian's Taser Policy.Physical demands include sitting, standing, and walking for variable amounts of time, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, occasionally stooping, kneeling, or crouching, lifting and/or moving objects 25 pounds or more, and frequently engaging in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.About Tarian: Tarian stands out as North America's foremost expert and trusted security partner, driven by the diverse backgrounds and experiences of its team members.
