As a Screener supporting a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will use communication and customer service skills to help deter incidents while working collaboratively with site personnel. Join Allied Universal, where our agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture puts people first and values integrity and teamwork.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $19.85 / HourJob Schedule:Day TimeMon 06:00 AM - 03:00 PMTue 06:00 AM - 03:00 PMSat 06:00 AM - 06:00 PMSun 06:00 AM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.Screen individuals and their belongings using designated screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited items and escalate concerns in accordance with site protocols.Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access for persons entering restricted areas, maintaining accurate entry and visitor records as required.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions, access-control concerns, and maintenance issues.Minimum Requirements:Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.X-ray screening experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.ClosingAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
