Job description

Security Operations SupervisorUnder the direction of the Security Manager, the Security Operations Supervisor manages day-to-day security operations, emergency responses, and personnel across all GRHC campuses. This role provides shift leadership to Security Officers and SOC Dispatchers, conducts video surveillance reviews, and ensures the effective operation of physical security technologies—including CCTV and access control systems—to safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and assets.Critical Tasks:Supervise Security Officers, SOC Dispatchers, and low-voltage technicians during assigned shifts.Coordinate daily staffing assignments, adequate shift coverage, and special details.Monitor staff performance to provide coaching, feedback, and corrective guidance.Maintain necessary operational records, timesheets, and officer shift reports.Promote team decision-making, prioritize workflows, and streamline departmental operations.Monitor, track, and report on the overall departmental budget.Daily Operations & Campus SecurityOversee day-to-day security and surveillance operations across all healthcare campuses.Perform regular patrols of facilities and grounds to maintain a strong visibility presence.Complete safety inspections to identify hazards, confirm room vacancies, and spot suspicious individuals.Safeguard all organizational assets, property, employees, patients, and visitors.Conduct security debriefings, revoke badges, and cancel visit clearance requests.Execute other job-related duties and operational assignments as requested.Emergency Coordination & Incident ResponseProvide technical and operational leadership during critical incidents and emergencies.Coordinate interdepartmental responses between security, nursing, administration, and external first responders.Ensure immediate, supervisory-level response to incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies.Notify law enforcement and emergency services quickly when appropriate.SOC Dispatch & Alarm MonitoringSupervise 24/7 centralized dispatch communications and radio operational discipline.Ensure emergency calls are answered promptly and dispatched accurately.Monitor panic, duress, intrusion, and fire system notifications.Document all incidents precisely within the incident management system.Surveillance, CCTV & Technology SystemsOversee deployment, placement, and coverage improvements of CCTV cameras and access control.Troubleshoot system-related problems and liaise with vendors and IT for support.Perform quality checks, tool analytics, and system testing to ensure optimal tech functionality.Direct and oversee the replacement of outdated physical security equipment.Investigations & Regulatory ComplianceInvestigate security violations, accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and insider threats.Conduct video surveillance reviews and maintain a strict chain of custody for evidence.Assist Human Resources, Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, and law enforcement with investigations.Analyze physical property and processes to enforce internal controls and policy compliance.Ensure all projects adhere to GRHC security policies and industry standards.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required.Two years of management experience in access control, video surveillance, security operations, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the position.Current and valid International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) basic and advanced certification or ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire.Working knowledge of access control and video surveillance systems.Knowledge of installing and troubleshooting all security systems, such as access control, video surveillance, alarms, and visitor management systems.Experience coordinating new installs, repairs, and maintenance of access control and surveillance equipment.Direct and oversee the replacement of outdated equipment.Working knowledge of security system technologies, including intrusion detection and access control platforms.Self-motivated with strong organizational skills to work independently and drive projects that meet GRHC objectives.Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.
