Security SpecialistThe Security Specialist is responsible for performing security and safety functions within a cannabis cultivation facility. As a Security Specialist, you are responsible for providing critical security and administrative support to management. Security Specialists may be cross-trained and asked to support other departments occasionally to meet business needs. ***The pay for this position is $15/hour. Shift is Tuesday through Saturday 2pm - 10pm.*** Essential duties and responsibilities include checking in all employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries; ensuring all visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers sign in on the sign-in sheet; scanning IDs and providing temporary badges to visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers; maintaining all hard copy and digital logs of scanned IDs, sign-in sheets, and all facility logs; providing general support to visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers; reviewing surveillance video of events and creating/maintaining event logs from all security systems; creating new badge access cards for new employees, visitors, and vendors; alerting management for required support on all security systems—skyline cameras, Strat security/fire alarms, and internet connectivity; coordinating delivery schedules and outgoing office shipments with management; monitoring and maintaining quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws; adhering to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); maintaining a clean and safe working environment within the facility and production areas; immediately informing Security Manager of any system discrepancies; documenting all activity using company's track and trace system; working within company continuous improvement system and striving to increase productivity; checking in and checking out all van keys for drivers; giving all cash to Human Resources or appropriate party for accounting; scheduling weekly armored vehicle pickups for cash deposits from order fulfillment; ensuring the door is locked during any time cash is out; coordinating with corporate's finance department to ensure all cash is accounted for; accepting cash from all delivery drivers on every delivery and storing in safe.Minimum qualifications include previous experience in security operations and procedures required, a positive attitude and teamwork, willingness to learn about, operate, and maintain facility equipment in a safe manner, strong verbal and written communication skills, authorization to work in the United States, being 21 years of age or older, and able to successfully register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.Physical and mental demands include remaining in a stationary position, moving and/or positioning oneself, communicating, operating and/or preparing, placing, positioning objects, tools, or controls, standing for 90% of the time, comfortable with heights, occasionally ascending/descending a ladder to service lights, filters, trellis netting, and ceiling fans up to 25ft, comfortable working atop and traversing scaffolding, when required, comfortable with changing environment temperatures and humidity, exposure to pollen, dust, dander, and other nature elements, and specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.The working environment is performed in a warehouse environment, occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock, with a usually moderate noise level.We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
