By combining seamless services and technology with the right facilities, we enable guests to be productive, feel successful and build meaningful relationships with their clients and colleagues while traveling for business.As a Security Supervisor, you'll be providing protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, associates, guests, vendors and all visitors. In addition, you'll provide guidance to a team of security officers ensuring that all protocols and operations are executed in a timely and efficient manner.Job Duties• Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, associates and hotel premises• Oversee comprehensive training for new Officers• Monitor staff performance and activities• Complete several types of reports on a daily basis• Identify and correct, or report potentially hazardous conditions or situations• Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner in cases of fire, accident and safety concerns• Patrol the property and monitor surveillance equipment for suspicious activity• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service• Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy is investigated and reported• Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards• Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations• Conduct departmental key control audits and maintain key control records• Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards• Follow all safety policies• Other duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience in a Security role requiredComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications requiredCertification in CPR First Aid desiredMust possess a professional presentationStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesWorking ConditionsPerforming under various temperature conditionsHeavy liftingStanding for extended periodsWalking long distancesUnder variable noise levelsAround dust and mite hazardsAround fumes and odor hazardsAround chemicalsRequired to wear a company-provided uniform when applicableWorking around moving machinery/heavy equipmentSlippery and uneven walking surfacesPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds regularlyMust be able to move safely over uneven or slippery surfaces in confined spacesMust be able to see and respond to dangerous situationsMust have a good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneelMust have the ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers using verbal and written forms of communicationCrowne Plaza Hotel - Louisville Airport is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
