Job description
Help create expert-authored forecasting and research data that evaluates and improves AI models on real-world financial analysis. This work focuses on predicting when a named sell-side equity analyst will publish a post-catalyst research note and what that publication is likely to say, using only information available at a defined point in time.
Key Responsibilities
Forecast the timing and expected content of a named analyst''s research update following a catalyst.
Develop an anticipated published view using filings, earnings results, conference-call transcripts, estimates, valuation, and ratings.
Document the internal research process that informs how and when an equity research report is produced.
Review model-generated financial analyses and assess them against your professional standard.
Qualifications
Former lead sell-side equity analyst or highly senior research associate with personal experience publishing post-catalyst research in the relevant sector.
Deep expertise in filings, earnings, transcripts, estimates, valuation, ratings, and the internal equity research publication workflow.
Typically 8 or more years of directly relevant experience, or compelling evidence of equivalent performance.
Experience with Institutional Investor-ranked teams or leading research organizations, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Bank of America, Citi, UBS, Barclays, Bernstein, Jefferies, and Wolfe Research, is a strong initial signal but not required.
Former colleagues, direct coverage competitors, and senior buy-side professionals who have evaluated a named analyst''s work are particularly relevant backgrounds.
Selection is based on direct experience and performance in the work sample, not solely on firm name recognition.
Point-in-Time Research Standards
All work must rely on the stated evidence cutoff and avoid hindsight, data leakage, confidential information, and material non-public information.
Work Terms
Remote, hourly engagement.
Compensation
$150 to $250 per hour.
