Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager – Technical Accounting
$100K–$120K Base + Discretionary Bonus
Remote flexibility | Plantation, FL office available
LHH is partnering with a large, well-established organization seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to join its accounting team.
This opportunity is ideal for someone coming out of, or recently out of, a larger public accounting firm who enjoys technical accounting, financial reporting, researching new accounting guidance, and using technology to improve accounting processes.
The level can flex between Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Research and interpret U.S. GAAP accounting guidance
Support technical accounting and complex financial reporting matters
Prepare technical accounting documentation and accounting memos
Assist with fair value and investment-related accounting matters
Support month-end close and broader accounting projects
Help implement new reporting requirements
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Utilize technology and AI tools to improve accounting research and workflows
Support ERP and systems-related initiatives
Qualifications:
Approximately 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
Public accounting experience with a Big 4, national, or strong regional accounting firm strongly preferred
Audit, assurance, technical accounting, accounting advisory, or financial reporting experience
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Ability to research unfamiliar accounting topics and apply new guidance
Strong technology aptitude and interest in AI, automation, and process improvement
CPA or CPA track preferred
ASC 820, ASC 946, fair value, investment accounting, or financial-services exposure is a plus, not required
Compensation: $100K–$120K base + discretionary bonus
Location: The organization has an office in Plantation, FL and offers a hybrid schedule for local employees. Fully remote candidates can also be considered based on experience.
