Job description
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $100,000 to $110,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries, complete account reconciliations, and correct errors to ensure accurate financial results.
Analyze balance sheet activity each month and document clear explanations for changes across reporting periods.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures and lead efforts to improve processes.
Partner with operations, payables, and other teams to support timely financial statements and proper expense coding.
Support audits, compliance testing, and special projects while maintaining complete and organized documentation.
Requirements: A Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
At least 3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role within a fast paced environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of financial statements.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions, with comfort analyzing large data sets.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with limited daily direction.
Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem solving skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well with both finance and operations teams.
Ability to manage high volumes of transactions and respond quickly to auditor and leadership requests.
Self starter with strong organization skills and a consistent focus on process improvement and automation.
Professional presence with sound judgment, integrity, and a service minded approach to internal partners.
