Job description
Carolina PRG is partnering with a North American manufacturing company to identify a Senior Accountant. This role will support month-end close, financial reporting, and inventory accounting while partnering with operations to improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and provide insight into business performance.

Key Responsibilities
Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, investigate variances, and explain key drivers of results.
Reconcile inventory balances and review inventory transactions for accuracy.
Support inventory valuation, excess and obsolete inventory reserves, and cost-of-goods-sold analysis.
Partner with plant and operations teams on physical inventories, cycle counts, and resolution of discrepancies.
Assist with manufacturing cost analysis, including material, labor, and overhead variances.
Maintain internal controls and provide documentation for external audits.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and ERP workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Three or more years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Exposure to inventory accounting or cost accounting. xhmxlyz
Strong Excel skills and experience working with an ERP system.
