Job description
We are partnering with a growing company in Clearwater, Florida, to identify a bright, motivated Senior Accountant who is looking to take the next step in their career. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundation in public accounting who wants to transition into a growing business, gain valuable hands-on experience, and develop professionally.
The ideal candidate is intelligent, driven, and eager to learn, with a couple of years of experience at a Big 4 or regional public accounting firm. The company offers a collaborative environment, strong work-life balance, and the opportunity to grow alongside the business.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules.
Perform account analysis and investigate variances.
Assist with the preparation of financial reports and management reporting packages.
Support the annual audit and work with external auditors as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
Collaborate with other departments to support the company's continued growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Approximately 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally with a Big 4 or regional public accounting firm.
Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
A motivated, intelligent professional with the desire to learn, take on new responsibilities, and grow with the company.
