Job description
Coda Search has partnered with a rapidly expanding consumer goods company headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. Its brand is building significant traction with consumers across the country, and the company has achieved robust year-over-year growth while continuing to extend its reach throughout the United States. The team is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant who excels in a fast-moving setting, will be central to leading the monthly close, and is motivated by designing processes and procedures that grow alongside the business.
Responsibilities:
Lead the monthly close, including reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts
Handle accounting for several entities, recording and reconciling intercompany activity
Maintain the fixed asset register and administer depreciation schedules
Use Excel to examine expenses and flag significant variances
Evaluate vendor invoices and address any vendor-related concerns
Oversee general ledger reconciliations and record journal entries
Assist with the year-end audit by compiling schedules and acting as the main point of contact for external auditors
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of three years of accounting experience
Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
Experience with NetSuite is highly desirable
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
