Senior Accountant

nProFast is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Harrisburg. This role goes beyond traditional accounting responsibilities, with involvement in financial reporting, month-end close, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

n nDay-to-Day Responsibilities:
nnSupport the month-end close process, including reconciliations and accruals
nPrepare financial reporting and analyze results against budget, forecast, prior year, and actual performance
nHelp develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts
nPrepare financial metrics, trend analyses, and management reports
nManage daily cash activity, bank accounts, and loan payments
nMonitor accounts receivable aging and collection activity
nReview and approve customer credit applications
nParticipate in monthly business review meetings with company leadership
nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and financial systems
n nYou'll be successful if you:
nnWant to understand why the numbers changed, not simply report that they did
nEnjoy analyzing financial information and identifying trends
nTake ownership and follow issues through to resolution
nCan translate financial information into meaningful insights for others
nAre comfortable balancing recurring accounting responsibilities with changing priorities and projects
nLook for ways to improve processes rather than accepting "that's how we've always done it"
nCan work independently while collaborating effectively with Finance and other departments
nBring accuracy, sound judgment, and integrity to your work
n nOur ideal candidate has:
nnBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
n3+ years of progressive accounting experience
nStrong knowledge of GAAP
nExperience with month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
nExperience with ERP/accounting systems; NetSuite experience is a plus
nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
