Job DescriptionIncendia Partners is partnering with a Fortune 500 employer headquartered in Richmond to identify a Senior Accountant for its Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting team. This is a corporate accounting position focused on technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, and accounting research, with opportunities to support strategic financial analysis and process improvements. Compensation: Up to approximately $130,000 plus annual bonus and industry-leading retirement contributions.n

nResponsibilities Overview

nnResearch complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting analyses
nnn
Assist with SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures
nnn
Prepare accounting memoranda and technical documentation
nnn
Support adoption of new accounting standards and regulatory guidance
nnn
Assist with SOX compliance and disclosure controls
nnn
Partner with finance and business leaders on complex transactions
nnn
Improve financial reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement
nnn
Collaborate with external auditors and cross-functional teamsn
nn
nBasic Requirements
nnn
nnBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
nnn
CPA or active progress toward CPA strongly
nnn
4+ years of accounting experience
nnn
Experience with technical accounting, SEC reporting, public accounting, or public company financial reporting
nnn
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
nnn
SOX and financial reporting experience n
