nInsight Restoration is looking for an experienced Controller & Technical Accounting Manager to take ownership of the accuracy, integrity, and technical side of our accounting operations.
nThis is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys digging into the details, improving systems, and turning complex financial information into clear, reliable answers for leadership. It is not a traditional Controller position filled with meetings and high-level oversight—you'll be actively working in the numbers, systems, and processes that drive the business.
nWhat You'll Own
nGeneral ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close
nFinancial statements, cash flow, A/R, gross profit, and management reporting
nJob costing and profitability reporting for mitigation and reconstruction projects
nAdvanced Excel models, analysis, reconciliations, and reporting tools
nQuickBooks and integrations across payroll, expense, timekeeping, job-management, and other accounting systems
nInternal controls, accounting procedures, and process improvements
nPayroll and benefits accounting reconciliations
nT&M billing, documentation, and reconciliation
nAccounting and payroll/billing reconciliation for an affiliated company
nFinancial support for contracts, agreements, audits, tax preparation, and special projects
nYou'll Be a Great Fit If You…
nHave strong technical accounting knowledge and understand accounting beyond simply entering transactions
nAre exceptionally strong in Excel
nLove finding discrepancies and figuring out why something doesn't balance
nHave experience with month-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
nAre highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
nCan research complicated problems and develop practical solutions
nEnjoy improving systems and creating repeatable processes
nCan work independently and take full ownership of your responsibilities
nCan explain complex financial information clearly to leadership
nExperience with QuickBooks, job costing, construction/restoration accounting, payroll systems, ADP, T&M billing, or ERP/CRM integrations is a strong plus.
