Senior Accountant (Manufacturing Industry)
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Accountant to own the general ledger function and play a key role in how our finance team scales. You'll report to the Senior Finance Manager, partner with the VP Finance and other finance team, and have real influence on the monthly close process, financial reporting, the annual audit, and continuous process improvement.
What You'll Do
Own the full-cycle general ledger, from journal entries and accruals to account reconciliations and monthly financial statements
Lead the month-end and year-end close on schedule, coordinating with FP&A, Tax, and Operations
Maintain GL integrity and investigate and resolve discrepancies
Prepare monthly financial statements, account analyses, and supporting schedules
Serve as a primary accounting contact for external audits, preparing PBC schedules and responding to auditor requests
Assist with tax, compliance, and other financial reporting requirements
Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and make the close faster, more accurate, and more scalable
Help modernize and automate accounting workflows, and support ERP, AP, and expense technology improvements
Take on ad hoc analyses and special projects as the company grows
What We're Looking For
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
5+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ERP/accounting systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Ability to work independently, prioritize deadlines, and take ownership of processes
