Job description
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a team in Mercer County, NJ. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with a strong background in inventory accounting, product costing, and general ledger management. Experience working in a private equity (PE)-backed environment is a significant plus. Key Responsibilities:
Manage and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
Perform product costing analysis and support pricing decisions with financial insights.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation.
Support audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on inventory and cost accounting.
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
Experience in a PE-backed company is highly desirable.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation:
$80,000-$85,000

PTO is offered on an accrual basis
