Job description
A biotechnology company in California is seeking a hardworking Accountant for a promising Senior-level opportunity with their team.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: Standard business
Setting: Hybrid (at least 3 days a week)
Responsibilities: Perform general ledger accounting for balance sheet areas, including accruals, prepaids, accounts receivable, cash, and lease accounting
Handle journal entries, allocations, GAAP reclassifications, reconciliations, and related accounting analysis
Support the month-end close process and prepare work papers and audit requests within established timelines
Assist with SOX compliance activities, including control evaluation, implementation, monitoring, and documentation
Support external audits and maintain accurate supporting documentation for quarterly and year-end reporting
Qualifications: 2+ years of Accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Experience with contract review and analysis of related transactional impacts
Proficiency with Oracle EBS
Ability to work accurately and efficiently while meeting deadlines
Desired Skills: CPA
Public Audit experience
Experience with Oracle R12
Familiarity with FASB ASC Accounting treatment
Experience in a Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical environment
