Job description
Own the general ledger and month-end close for a remote, fast-paced organization building high-quality training data, evaluations, and feedback systems for advanced AI. You will help ensure accurate books, timely closes, and reliable financial information for confident decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Lead the full month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, promptly investigate discrepancies, and resolve them.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant financial statements.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation for all accounts.
Support external audits with schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
Improve close processes to reduce cycle time and strengthen accuracy.
Partner with leadership to keep financial information audit-ready and decision-ready.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls for the close and reporting cycle.
Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA preferred.
3 to 5 years of accounting experience focused on general ledger work and month-end close.
Hands-on experience with an ERP or accounting system.
Strong Google Sheets and Excel skills.
Deep knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight close deadlines without compromising accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications Active CPA license or progress toward a professional certification.
Exposure to AI tools or automated accounting workflows.
Work Terms Full-time, remote role.
Compensation The listed annual compensation is $110, 000 to $150, 000.
A separate compensation notice states a national base-salary range of $90, 000 to $120, 000 USD.
Employees are eligible for equity compensation and may receive performance-based bonuses, depending on role and company policies.
