Senior Accountant
Queens, NY | 4 Days in Office | Full-Time
Build the Accounting Function. Don’t Just Maintain It.
We’re looking for a sharp, hands-on Senior Accountant who wants more than a checklist of recurring accounting tasks.
You’ll work directly with the Director of Accounting and play a key role in a fast-growing, multi-location business, owning critical parts of the close while helping modernize how the accounting function operates.
If you’re the person who spots the unreconciled balance, asks “why are we doing it this way?” , and then finds a better way—you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Own
Drive key month-end close activities, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Manage intercompany accounting and consolidations across multiple entities and locations.
Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and meaningful variance analysis.
Support cash reporting, debt schedules, audits, and compliance.
Partner with FP&A and operations to deliver accurate, actionable financial information.
Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve accounting processes.
Use AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot to eliminate repetitive work and increase speed and accuracy.
Help build scalable processes and documentation as the business grows.
What You Bring
4+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong month-end close experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
Experience with multi-entity, multi-location, or intercompany accounting.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and comfort working with imperfect data across multiple systems.
ERP experience; Sage X3 is a plus.
High attention to detail, strong ownership, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
Curiosity about AI, automation, and better ways of working.
CPA/CPA candidate, audit experience, multi-unit operations experience, or Python/finance automation skills are a plus.
