Job description
Incendia Partners is partnering with a Fortune 500 employer headquartered in Richmond to identify a Senior Accountant for its Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting team. This is a corporate accounting position focused on technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, and accounting research, with opportunities to support strategic financial analysis and process improvements. Compensation: Base salary of $100-$119K plus 10% annual bonus and 13-17% annual profit sharing, for total compensation of up to $150K. Why Join This Team? Responsibilities Overview Research complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting analyses
Assist with SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures
Prepare accounting memos and technical documentation
Support adoption of new accounting standards and regulatory guidance
Assist with SOX compliance and disclosure controls
Partner with finance and business leaders on complex transactions
Improve financial reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement
Collaborate with external auditors and cross-functional teams
Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred
4+ years of accounting experience
Experience with technical accounting, SEC reporting, public accounting, or public company financial reporting
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
SOX and financial reporting experience preferred
