Job description
What the role actually is
Agility is hiring a senior AI research engineer for its AI innovation team. The role focuses on robot foundation models and end-to-end policies for humanoid robots, with experiments that can transfer toward production.
The posting names imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and real robot testing. This is research engineering on a deployed humanoid platform rather than a purely simulated robotics role.
What you would work on
Develop robot-learning methods for humanoid manipulation and movement
Run experiments on physical robots and analyze real-world performance
Build pipelines that connect policy learning, evaluation, and production constraints
Work with researchers and engineers on methods that can transfer out of the lab
What they are asking for
Strong background in robot learning, embodied AI, or applied robotics research
Experience with imitation learning, reinforcement learning, or end-to-end policies
Ability to implement research ideas and test them on real robotic systems
Comfort working in a hybrid office role across Agility's U.S. technical sites
Why this one is worth a look
Humanoid companies are moving from demos toward repeatable capabilities. Agility's role is interesting because it asks for learning methods that can survive contact with deployed robots, warehouses, and manufacturing environments.
