nThe Dishwasher Engineering Group is dedicated to designing and continuously refining dishwasher systems, delivering industry-leading performance, energy efficiency, acoustic quality, and overall product excellence at maximum value. It is composed of a multidisciplinary team of designers, technicians, lab and design engineers.
nThis role in summary
nAs a Materials Engineer (Sr. Analyst, Eng), you will drive the evaluation, selection, and deployment of raw materials and innovative technical solutions for both new product launches and existing product enhancements.The Materials Engineer (Sr. Analyst, Eng.) is responsible for coordinating technical initiatives, leading and tracking development efforts, and delivering technical guidance to key stakeholders. Additionally, this role oversees testing priorities within the Dishwasher materials laboratory.
nYour responsibilities will include
nnnMaterials Engineer (Sr. Analyst, Eng):
n
nnServes as a contact for Platform & Architecture Leaders and cross-functional stakeholders (including Global Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Global Consumer Design, Advanced Manufacturing, and Marketing).
n
nnDelivers cost and quality targets for the respective Platform.
n
nnCoordinates structured problem-solving globally and cross-functionally.
n
nnDrives product innovation and continuous improvement, with potential to generate intellectual property.
n
nnSupports specific competency areas (e.g., adhesives and tapes) to maintain technical capability.
n
nnProvides input to Planning and Architecture teams to select optimal raw material solutions for existing and future projects.
n
nnHelps define priorities in collaboration with other Materials teams, Subject Matter Experts, and Laboratories.
n
nnInterfaces with design teams to align on raw material strategy and selection.
n
nnGathers regional requirements with subsystems early in projects to balance design, cost, performance, and regional supply constraints.
n
nnResolves materials-related quality issues, supply interruptions, or manufacturing challenges by leveraging global resources.
n
nnDrives implementation of raw material solutions on new and existing products while meeting timeline, cost, and quality standards.
n
nnFosters knowledge reuse.
n
n nMinimum requirements
nnnBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials or related field
n
nn3+ years of experience in the development and implementation of materials solutions in areas including cost reduction, quality improvement, implementation of new projects and/or new technologies
n
nn3+ years of experience in project management
n
nn3+ years of experience of technical leadership / technology implementation
n
n nPreferred skills and experiences
nnnMaster's Degree in Materials Science or Chemistry or Mechanical / Chemical / Materials Engineering,
n
nnMaterials science knowledge at raw material level,
n
nnExperience in raw material processing applied to our industry,
n
nnGood understanding of developing and implementing main raw material commodities (coatings, metals, resins, PU foam & gases). Specific knowledge in white goods industry is considered a plus,
n
nnAbility to interact with different Functions (including Engineering, Global Consumer Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Marketing),
n
nnSense of urgency, and ability to work under pressure for multiple tasks,
n
nnNatural, strong attitude for problem-solving, critical thinking, proactive behaviour, respect for commitments and deadlines,
n
nnActively breaking down boundaries and encouraging others to do the same. Communication skills with higher leadership: projects / initiatives / conclusions / report outs,
n
nnSoft skills to work in a multicultural / multiregional team.
