Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Application Developer designs, builds, tests, deploys, and supports backend services and cloud-hosted application components for the DT&D ERP TRM team. The role owns complex application changes from technical refinement through production support and continuous improvement.

The primary emphasis is backend and cloud engineering: developing APIs, business services, event-driven integrations, and secure cloud-native application components; automating build and deployment workflows; and operating services reliably in production. Frontend development, analytics, and data-pipeline engineering are supporting concerns rather than the core focus of the role.

This is a hands-on senior individual contributor position. The developer works independently on complex assignments, makes sound code-level and component-level decisions, and collaborates with product managers, business partners, architects, security, cloud platform, and operations teams when broader alignment is required.

Key Accountabilities

APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Builds complex application configurations to meet user and business requirements while identifying improvements to complex application support processes and procedures.

APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Performs advanced programming, configuration, testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.

USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Plays a key role and keeps an open channel of communication with users to respond to complex application support requests and needs.

APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts complex technical application support activities to deliver on business outcomes.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Partners with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers and business partners to ensure configurations align with standards and project goals.

INCIDENT & REQUEST MANAGEMENT: Leads prioritization of incoming incident tickets and user requests.

VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Handles positive relationships with software vendors and negotiates complex contracts.
