This is an opportunity for a seasoned construction professional who takes pride in quality work, values integrity, and enjoys being a trusted resource in the field.If you're someone who notices the details others miss, confidently navigates complex construction projects, and enjoys mentoring the next generation of construction professionals, we'd like to meet you.What You'll DoAs a Senior Associate Construction Observer, you'll serve as a key field representative on public and private infrastructure projects, ensuring construction activities are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with approved plans and specifications.Responsibilities include:Leading construction observation efforts on complex infrastructure projectsMonitoring construction activities and documenting project progressReviewing plans, specifications, contract documents, and construction standardsIdentifying deficiencies, risks, and non-conforming work, while recommending practical solutionsCoordinating with contractors, agencies, project managers, testing laboratories, utility companies, and clientsReviewing inspection reports, testing documentation, and project recordsSupporting project administration, field issue resolution, and constructability reviewsParticipating in project meetings and stakeholder coordination effortsMentoring and developing junior construction observation staffMaintaining accurate, defensible, and organized project documentationProjects may include roadway improvements, utility installations, water and wastewater infrastructure, storm drain systems, public works improvements, transportation projects, and other municipal infrastructure.Who We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who combines technical expertise with strong communication and leadership skills.You may be a great fit if you:Have experience serving as a lead observer, construction inspector, or field representativeCan confidently interpret plans, specifications, and contract documentsExercise sound judgment and make informed field decisions with limited supervisionBuild productive working relationships with contractors, agencies, and project stakeholdersTake ownership of project quality, safety, and complianceEnjoy mentoring and supporting the development of junior staffThrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentPreferred QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of experience in construction observation, public works inspection, municipal construction management, or related civil infrastructure projectsExperience with public infrastructure and municipal construction projectsStrong understanding of construction methods, materials, standards, and contract complianceExperience reviewing testing reports, inspection results, and quality documentationFamiliarity with utility coordination, agency requirements, and regulatory complianceOSHA, ICC, CSI CDT, AGC, HAZWOPER, or related certifications are a plusWhy QK?Employee-owned companyCollaborative and supportive team environmentMeaningful infrastructure projects that improve communitiesOpportunities for professional growth and leadership developmentCommitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvementA culture built on teamwork, respect, and shared successIf you're ready to bring your experience, leadership, and commitment to excellence to a company that values its people and the communities it serves, we encourage you to apply.
