Senior Associate / Vice President, Credit Risk (Financial Markets)

Join Macquarie's growing Financial Markets Credit team in New York and play a key role in supporting fund lending, derivatives, and trading activities across the Americas. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced credit professionals, gain broad exposure to complex financial transactions, and contribute directly to the continued growth of a global financial services organization.

What role will you play?

As a member of the Credit team, you will partner closely with traders, marketers, and business stakeholders to assess and manage credit risk across a diverse portfolio of fund counterparties and financial market transactions. You will be involved early in the transaction lifecycle, identifying key credit risks, conducting counterparty analysis, and providing timely recommendations on credit approvals, limits, and risk mitigation strategies. The role includes ongoing monitoring of counterparties and market developments, annual credit reviews, exposure management, and participation in client due diligence discussions. You will also support the negotiation of legal agreements and recommend appropriate structural protections to ensure sound risk management. Through this work, you will gain exposure to a broad range of lending, trading, derivative, and investment activities across Macquarie's global business.

Salary range for this position: $138,000 - $186,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. You can further read about the full spectrum of benefits we offer our people listed below.

5+ years of experience in credit risk, banking, credit research, alternative lending, rating agencies, fund finance, or a related financial services environment.

Experience analyzing private funds, hedge funds, regulated funds, and other institutional counterparties.

Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, financial statement analysis, and counterparty due diligence.

Knowledge of lending products, fund finance transactions, and credit exposure monitoring.

Experience supporting derivative transactions, including familiarity with ISDA documentation and related legal agreements.
